Born and living in Sydney for the most of her life, Ruth O’Reilly graduated
from Sydney University in the late seventies, majoring in political science and
psychology. In 1988, she obtained a Graduate Diploma in Education and for the
next twelve years worked as a relief teacher while raising her family of four ¬children.
Since completing her formal education, she has continued to study a variety of
subjects including computer technology, gaining several certificates in information
technology at TAFE. In addition she has pursued an interest in a number of areas
such as art, astrology, acupuncture and cosmology.
