Toni Brisland lives in Sydney with her husband and two Himalayan cats: Jade, a blue-point Himalayan, and Lord Flannery Persephone, a red-point. Her niece Justine’s two beagles, Shiloh and Rosie, are their friends. Toni wants a German Shepherd but Jade and Flannery are not keen on the idea! Toni came to admire and respect German Shepherds when she worked for the New South Wales Police Force. Her Himalayans, the beagles and the German Shepherds of the Police Dog Squad were the inspiration for the story of DemiChat and the Kent Street Mystery.
