Rednik is a specialist in institutional strengthening, governance, capacity building, human resources development, strategic planning, and learning systems, is a human and social geographer and has a PhD and three other degrees. The author has worked as a Team Leader and Adviser for thirty-four years in Papua New Guinea (PNG), Fiji, Marshall Islands, Vanuatu, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Viet Nam, USA, northeast India, Australia, Malaysia, the Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Laos and China. Rednik has worked on assignments for the ILO, UNOPS, IFAD, UNDP, OECF, AusAID, World Bank, ADB, and Australian Government. Rednik has authored and co-authored papers on institutional development, education, training, and development assistance topics, a textbook on small business, and a novel. In 1998 Rednik received a World Bank Group 1997 Award for Excellence in the Thailand Land Titling Project, for significant development impact through outstanding client responsiveness, professionalism, partnership, teamwork, innovation and cost effectiveness as Training and Development Adviser. The author is happily married and, when not on assignment, lives in the Whitsunday Region of central Queensland in Australia.
