Ruth Thomas lives in Brisbane, Queensland and has three children. Her interest in writing was stimulated in her childhood by her mother who was editor of an Australian Writers’ magazine for twenty years. Ruth was the writer of a gardening section for a small Queensland newspaper and has had a number of short stories printed in non-profit magazines and papers. Interest in her family’s WW1 and WW2 histories led to discussions with Anna about her side of the war. Ruth was fascinated to discover that Anna had a story to be told.
