Isolde Martin was born in Germany, in a small town right on the border of Austria, and on the banks of the Danube. She spent her childhood in the Bavarian countryside on the northern edge of the Alps. In her teens and early twenties she lived, studied, and worked in Munich. In 1972 she started her university studies in the United States, finishing with her Bachelor Degree in Psychology at the George Washington University in Washington, DC. Her Masters in Psychology followed in 1981 in Houston, Texas. She has worked in psychology and art psychotherapy in five different countries and cultures. Currently she lives again in Germany.
