Susan Whelan and Meredith Flynn grew up in adjacent suburbs of NewcastleNSW. They met at high school in 1984 and have shared many adventures and misadventures since then. Presently they are both mainly occupied bytheir roles as mothers with Susan narrowly holding the lead with three children to Meredith's two (although Meredith points out that she has retired from the game due to a suspected concussion).
They both enjoy relaxing meals with friends, curling up with a good book and spending time with their families. Morning tea with the girls generally involves the swapping of recipes, dissection of the celebrity
crisis du jour, discussions on politics and religion and lots of chocolate. It often rolls right through lunch and into afternoon tea.
