J.R. Gordon

J.R. Gordon

Born in 1952, JR rushed through his school years, leaving for adventure at the age of fourteen. There was a vast and mysterious world out there to be explored. Before his twentieth birthday he had experienced the blast of fierce desert dust storms; the biting chill of blizzards; the steaming heat of jungles and the vastness of the great oceans during his quest to rediscover an already discovered world.
An adventurer, JR has experienced the shanty camps of the Australian outback, shared meals with natives in some of the most remote jungles of the world, prospected forbidding and remote wildernesses, experienced the turmoil of war and the calm of peace. His insatiable hunger for adventure, discovery and new experiences has taken him to the far-flung corners of the globe to little-known destinations.
As diverse as his adventures is JR’s employment and recreation history. Once a professional horseman, miner, boxer, athlete, soldier, police officer, local government politician, businessman and now writer make up the mosaic that is JR Gordon.
