David R Cole is currently a lecturer in literacy and English Education at the University of Tasmania. Before he started working in Tasmania, he has accepted various positions in Egypt, Colombia, Argentina and England teaching English language and literature. Even though formal education has played a significant role in his life, he believes that certain formative experiences dominate his writing.
