IVORY TO AUSTRALIA

AN epic book with the action taking place across the vast landscapes of
Africa and Western Australia. Author Jim Landells certainly knows his
subject and has done his research well to produce an extremely interesting
and plausible story about saving the elephants of Africa. Lead character
Jason Conway is a Kenyan-born Australian resident who believes the vast
cattle stations of Western Australia could be a new home for the elephants
of his homeland who are being hunted to extinction.
Such is his passion to save the elephants that he convinces governments and
wealthy backers to support his plan. However there are those in Africa who
stand to profit more from the elephant (in ivory trade) if it wasn¹t saved
and exported to Australia. Jason Conway is a threat and must be extinguished
much like the elephant.
Jim Landells has crafted a great blustering tale as big as the vast expanses
of these two continents. With colourful characters and a bit of romance
thrown in for good measure, Ivory to Australia is a thoroughly enjoyable
read.
