The Magic of Life
Jim Vickers-Willis
Biographic

ESCAPE FROM THE IRON LUNG could have been the title of this book. Ex-journalist former entertainer Jim Vickers-Willis opens by taking us to Kenya and the filming of little girls held down by their loved ones to be mutilated for life. In his personal escape to life and love story, he equates this mutilation with the results of what he calls ‘psychological circumcision’, going on almost unnoticed and still happening to the marrying/divorcing young in our own society - as told to him in hundreds of interviews with people who came to him for help after he wrote his book ‘Are you (really) fun to live with?’ and presented the nation-wide television advertising for the sex education feature film The Language of Love.
