Let me introduce ourselves: we are the humans. Although we don't give a moment's thought to who we are or how we function as a species, remarkably it has taken us millions of years to arrive at our present incarnation. It is true that we are living seemingly like magical beings.
We cannot subjectively analyse everything about ourselves all the time, but 'we' are the dominant species on our planet, and we have the huge responsibility for how our world will evolve. By studying the civilisations from the past we can organise how our societies are and will formulate in the future. We are rapidly approaching a new era of advancing technology, and it will be intriguing to observe how we adapt and change with it.
