Cyrus C. McFarlane was born in Wodonga, Victoria, where his great-grandfather built the first bridge over the Murray River and surveyed the site for the town of Wodonga and for rail lines to Geelong and other places. His father and uncles fought in WWI and WWII. Edith Cavell was his grandmother’s first cousin.
Cyrus graduated in Liberal Arts at Chisholm Institute. He is a founding father of Oldina Ski Club, Falls Creek, and associate member of the Catalina Club of Victoria. He is an RAAFA member, ATC branch, Box Hill and a member of the Latrobe Valley NSA.
His interests include preserving flora and fauna, native animals, and music.
