James was born in Sydney. He began his career as a truck driver, and progressed to middle management positions for major private and public companies before starting his own transport company.
James accepted a position as C.E.O. for a public company, the events detailed in this book prompted James resignation three years later.
James lives in the Blue Mountains in NSW with his wife and son. Dividing his time between the mountains and fishing at their Berringer Lake retreat on the NSW South Coast.
James is presently working on another book and the first draft of a series designed for television while maintaining contacts and providing consulting services to a number of private transport companies.
