Kylie Lehman grew up in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. During the final year of secondary school, she was the editor of a school magazine which sparked her interest in creative writing. After school, she worked as a bank officer for ten years in various roles. During that time, she married her husband, Craig, and together they are raising their three sons. After the death of a family member in an unfortunate drowning accident, Kylie became an aquatic education teacher.
Experiencing childhood again through her sons’ eyes has prompted her to interpret their experiences through her children’s stories. Along with her love of literature, she also enjoys swimming, long walks with her border collies and quality time spent with family, friends and the students she teaches.
