I am sixty-six years of age and of Greek-Cypriot descent. I live with my wife, Mary-Ann, and our two loveable Jack Russells, Roy and Dolly, in the splendid city of Melbourne, Victoria. I am a semi-retired primary school teacher with forty years of teaching experience. For the first three years of my career, I had the privilege of teaching English to refugee and migrant children at the Midway Language Centre in Maribyrnong, Melbourne. For the next twenty-seven years, I taught mainly upper grades in mainstream primary schools. For the last ten years, I have had the rewarding experience of working as a replacement teacher at Ascot Vale Heights school with students who have mild disabilities. One of my main goals in my teaching career has been to engender a love of literature in kids. I hope my first novel, Ghost Wood Road, helps to do just that.
Apart from writing, I enjoy nature, reading, gardening, cooking (mainly eating) and travelling.
