Maria Demasi was born and raised in Sydney, in 1965. She grew up in a large, vibrant Italian family. A late bloomer Maria started her writing career as a children's author in her mid 40's. Not having any children of her own, the creative influences and inspiration for her books came from her young nephews, Orlando, Luca, Marcello and her niece, Grace. Whom she regularly reads bedtime stories too. Until one day she decided to make up her own stories that were fun, adventurous and filled with meaning and purpose to a child's mind and heart.
Maria is passionate about self-development and the spiritual discipline of meditation and positive psychology and, through her story telling, wishes to impart the principles of self-development, awareness and spirituality to children. This is Maria's first children's book.
