Sundram is a Professor of Rural Health with Emotional Well-Being Institute, Geneva, Switzerland. He is invited to sit on several boards. He was awarded the Centenary Medal by the Australian Commonwealth Government for his commitment and support to migrants. He publishes widely on migrant issues in journals and books and speaks at local, national and international conferences on invitation. Sundram and his wife, Subatra, enjoy their time with their son, Dr Anand Sivamalai, who manages his software company in Melbourne and their daughter, Mrs Anuja Seton, with her family in San Francisco (California). Sundram?s strong interest, which is to advocate for the culturally and linguistically diverse communities, still continues from his Ballarat (Victoria) residence.
