This is Yvonne Phillips' first adult fiction novel.
She resides in Mandurah, Western Australia, between the ocean and the estuary. Yvonne lives with her husband of thirty years. Originally born in the United Kingdom, she moved to Western Australia as a young child with her parents and sister.
Before putting finger pads to keyboard, she graduated from Claremont Teachers' College, later gaining her Bachelor of Education. Yvonne worked as a government teacher for over thirty-five years. Somewhere in the mix she worked in a tannery and a hospital laundry and linen service.
When not writing, Yvonne and her husband love to travel, having journeyed extensively throughout south-east Asia, Africa and Europe, whether it be tenting under the stars listening to the munch of hippos, a three-star hotel in the middle of Paris (there's a lot more space to put down your suitcase), or a homestay in Vietnam where she found Pho a bit much for breakfast.
Exercise in the form of walking and cycling plays an important part in her life, as does reading and working on her ancestry.
