Lindsay B. Rochcouste

The author Lindsay Rochecouste is presently a teacher in Townsville, North Queensland . His interest in writing began though the challenge of ‘telling a story’ or ‘creating an ambiance’ through the minimal medium of musical lyrics. He has also written short stories mostly for children and adolescents and a musical called ‘The Windmills of Gamma’ in which he explored the creation of fusing tribal rhythms and electronic music, a style which he has labelled ‘Future Primitive’. Labyrinth in the Snow is his first novel and encapsulates all the literary genres that have influenced him, namely French literature, the Classical author s and the Yogic-Buddhist writings of the East. He has travelled extensively around the world and for a short time was the co-owner of a Caribbean restaurant in Brisbane . His interests include literature, music composition, Eastern philosophy, history, politics and cooking.
