Worn down and cynical, university lecturer Tony has a jaundiced view of life, politics and religion. His friend Sam, is a lecturer and a perpetual playboy. Rita, dean of the Arts Faculty, detests Sam?s teaching style, although his laissez faire approach to life holds a perverse appeal for her at a time when she struggles to be free of strictures in her life. Anne, a student, falls pregnant and is faced with an ethical dilemma.
