Michael Morel

Michael Morel was born in New Zealand in 1934. He says he was raised in Christchurch but educated in Australia, where he has lived since 1975, and considers himself more Aussie than Kiwi. He has a background in building construction but, following an unusual spiritual awakening in 2000, he has combined this career with writing which is now his only hobby apart from travel. Michael, an experienced public speaker and storyteller, holds a Guinness World Record for speaking skills as a result of giving the world’s longest lecture on life, lasting more than 25 hours, in 1999. He has three children from his first marriage and is now married to an Australian. Michael has lived and worked in Adelaide for the past twenty years.
