Howard Smith

Former academic and tertiary educator, Howard Smith now makes his home in Newcastle where he lives with his wife and daughters. His wide experience in teaching and counselling has made Smith a student of human nature. This, together with his passion for history, and particularly the generally unfamiliar history of convict Australia, is reflected in Return to Vinegar Hill – his first Australian novel.
