With the memories of heavy German Air raids over England, a traumatic and troubled family background, with virtually no fatherly guidance, an eleven year old migrant boy leaves for Australia to start a new life, in a new land where he faces racism and bullying.
The challenge to become the Supreme Optimist in life and to overcome defeatism and depression in a very often hostile environment is often daunting for one so young.
