Anthony Cooper was born in England in 1946, and educated there and in Paris, before joining the British Colonial Service in 1966. He spent his career with this service in Hong Kong before retiring to Australia with his Australian wife in 2021. Mr Cooper has four children and seven grandchildren and it is to these offspring that his latest book is dedicated.
