Anton Mulders was born in the Netherlands in 1939 and grew up in a family of two generations of building and civil engineering contractors.
After finishing his studies, he joined a civil engineering company as an estimator and was actively involved in planning and controlling projects such as housing and industrial projects, road construction, and large drinking water supply pipelines.
Anton was offered and accepted a position as Plant Engineer at an African subsidiary of a large, internationally-acclaimed, Dutch concrete construction company. After some twelve years there, he was head-hunted by a German engineering company for whom he successfully carried out a multitude of assignments in Europe, Northeast and West Africa, the Middle East, Jordan and Iraq, Southeast Asia, Indonesia and South Korea, which gave him the opportunity to travel extensively, especially through Africa.
The same company appointed him as joint Managing Director of a German-African joint venture company in Nigeria, producing a variety of prefabricated concrete products.
While in Africa, Anton learned to fly and obtained his pilot's licence. In his spare time, he enjoys flying, horse riding, and scuba diving.
Anton is now retired and lives in Perth, Western Australia
