Barry was born in Auckland, New Zealand and educated to university entrance level in the small King Country Township of Taumarunui where life bounded with adventure and risk.
At the age of eighteen he suffered a severe motocross accident which left him unconscious for ten days. Eighteen months later a drunken driver knocked him from his Suzuki motorbike. While he was lucky to escape with his life he remains scarred with an indentation in his skull and a ladder of stitches up his right arm.
In his early adulthood he successfully managed a substantial lending portfolio before choosing to care for his two infant children. He travelled to Hong Kong and China, and enjoyed an ocean cruise around South Pacific Islands, before moving to Brisbane.
He used life's burdens to create an excuse to delve into the world of his pen and to this day has this insatiable urge to share tales with the rest of the world. Having escaped death on numerous occasions has left him with a determination to appreciate each day as the sun rises and use text to conjure colourful images for people to enjoy. Revenge is drawn from a combination of this wealth of experiences and his vivid imagination.
