Bronwin Dargaville was born in South Australia's Barossa Valley in 1976. She studied science at The University of Adelaide and The University of Queensland and has worked as a research academic in a variety of fields both in Australia and the United States. However, writing fiction has been her passion since the age of six. She has published short stories in Australia between 1998 and 2010. Alley Kid is her first novel. Bronwin lives in Brisbane with her husband and two children.
