Clara Franklin was born in Poland and her childhood memories are not happy ones. She was only six years old when the devastating Second World War started. Her family was torn apart her father was killed and the rest of her family was transported to working camps in Germany. Clara was too young to work and was separated from the rest of the family without seeing them for the next twenty years.
Finally in 1963 the family was reunited in Australia, by this time Clara had her own family. Tragically, she lost her husband shortly after arriving in Australia. Clara didn't speak any English, however nothing held her back and whatever she set her goals to she was able to achieve. A few years later she re-married an Australian, where the couple lived in Bathurst for forty years. Clara also ran a very successful fashion boutique in Bathurst. Unfortunately in 2013 Clara became a widow once more.
Her childhood dream lingered in her mind and after retiring from the retail scene she began to write. She moved to Victoria so that she could be close to her family. Her first novel Angel Wings was published in 2007 then her second Entwined Lives published in 2015. This is Clara's fourth book. Clara is now 84 years of age.
