Donna Gardner lived and breathed international motorcycle racing for 11 years. At the age of 17 she left home to follow her then boyfriend and later husband Wayne Gardner to England to support him in his quest to become Australia's first world 500cc champion, which he achieved in 1987.
That was the start of an incredible journey that took the pair to the greatest heights the sport has to offer - a world title, a home in Monaco, mixing with royalty, and fame and fortune. Through it all, Donna had a unique insider's view of the glamour and excitement, the intrigue, the triumphs and the tragedies that are all part of life in the travelling Grand Prix 'circus'.
Donna now lives in a home overlooking Sydney harbour, with her partner Johnny, and their family of two dogs and a cat.
