Glenn Cannon was born in Hong Kong in 1969 and moved to Australia with his mother in 1975. His formative years were spent in country New South Wales, followed by boarding school and tertiary study in Melbourne. After gaining a bachelor’s degree in economics, he decided against a career in business and began a string of menial, itinerant jobs. In 1996 he went back to study and completed a Graduate Diploma in Literature.
Glenn then moved to Japan where he resided, on and off, for five years, supporting himself by teaching English and traveling extensively through South East Asia. These experiences, in part, shape the themes of his other novel Forsaken Blossoms. He now lives in Melbourne.
