Father of four, ex-merchant seaman and until recently a practising loss adjuster, Ian McLaren lives with his wife, Yvonne, near Hobart, Tasmania. Hobbies include sailing, flying light aircraft, and music. He has had upwards of a dozen short stories published, all sea yarns, and has more novels in the pipeline.
