Penny Becchio started life on a small country Police Station on the NSW south coast. She spent her childhood moving with her family to a number of country towns where she revelled in the freedom of country life, until it was time to attend boarding school in Sydney.
Penny has had a varied career spending several years at the ABC, and then teaching music and drama, before taking on senior management positions within the data communication industry.
Scouting has also been a significant part of her life, especially her involvement with the Hornsby Scout Gang Show. For over 25 years she has been musical director, production director and is currently the show’s general manager.
Penny now lives on Sydney’s North Shore with her husband Ray, where she is involved in community projects and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and writing stories. Penny's direct site: www.pennybecchio.com
