Rick Hore-Lacy came from a privileged upbringing and attended some of Australia s top private schools. A second cousin to Kerry Packer, he bucked the tradition and stability of finishing a law degree and left in his final year to make his own way. With no horse-racing pedigree to speak of, Rick took to developing his own unique style of training, and with his outspoken and honest nature, helped pave the way for some of the biggest changes in the racing industry in the last thirty years. He s one of the last true characters of the racing industry.
