Rosalind Dorrington grew up in Auchenflower Brisbane and was educated at St Ignatius Toowong. She married at the tender age of seventeen and reared three daughters. She has experienced many adversities but has always managed to overcome them by trying to see the funny side with her quirky sense of humour.
She’s had a penchant to write and perform on stage from an early age. She achieved this by performing her own satirical sketches on a variety of talent shows and was always in the top three.
Rosalind has been a Jill of all trades but mistress of none including carer of the intellectually handicapped; compiling advertisements in a Sunday newspaper and administrative assistant in the Queensland Government. In recent times she has been a volunteer feeding the homeless and caring for the aged in a nursing home.
She lives in Queensland with her husband John and daughter Karen and their four neurotic cats and two puppies. She has enjoyed ten cruises, two of which she won from competitions writing quirky poetry.
