Russell Miles was raised in Melbourne, and long had an interest in writing, with various published short stories and articles about economics, public welfare and history. Russell has three sons. Their mother, Rosemary, died much too young a few years after she and Russell divorced. Russell worked for the Victorian State Child Protection Services for twenty years and more recently has been teaching fledgling youth work students. But this is a fictional tale — our real lives are far more complicated.
