Tim Lowe grew up in Melbourne and graduated in medicine in 1981. During the 1980s he worked in war-torn Belfast and in Australia as an isolated rural GP.
He started writing following some traumatic experiences during this time. His first novel, Equinox of Tears, was published in 2003.
Tim now works at a community health centre in inner suburban Melbourne and lives between Melbourne and the Western District of Victoria where he produces his own wine and cheese.
