Excited for the start of school life, Kiya was eager to make new friends. Hopeful to belong, she strived to fit in and yet she found herself an outcast, which threw her into an unlikely friendship with another outcast: a boy named Dorian. Now, Kiya keeps a journal which has become her safe place where she pours out her thoughts, feelings, and fears, as she and Dorian journey through the years of school together. Life is tough for the two friends as they battle their way through not only school, but bullying and mental illness as well. These battles could either draw them closer together, or pull them apart forever.
