Ann Tregenza is an established Australian poet who is a regular visitor on ABC radio.
Her love affair with Greece commenced in 1961 whilst on a working holiday in Canada where she first became aware of Greek music. Soon after, whilst on a working holiday in London she landed a position as governess to a Greek family in Greece where she embraced the ambience of the local culture. Upon her return to Australia Ann taught Greek dancing and commenced writing her poems.
"Orestes: From Greece to Australia" has been re-released.
Ann Tregenza has won numerous awards for her writing which has been published extensively. Her plays have been read on ABC National radio and her poetry has been published in Meanjin and The Penguin Book of Australian Verse amongst others. She has also appeared in print in The Australian Women’s Weekly. Ann excels in diversity; she is also a physiotherapist, classically trained singer and a teacher of multicultural dancing.
