Dorothy Dickhart Clarke had a country upbringing and -married very young,
travelling with the Royal Australian Army for six years. With a nursing
career behind her, she returned to Western Australia where she worked and
studied with the Swan Brewery group to become a chef and then ran her own
businesses. After four children and a divorce, she took a refresher course
in nursing and worked in aged care.
Remarriage in 1998 saw her travelling Australia with her -present husband
Ronald C. Clarke who is in the mining -industry.
