The author was born in Edinburgh in 1942, in the middle of WWII. An Anglo Scot, he joined the Royal Navy at the age of 16 and during his service, visited the Temple Of The Sacred Tooth Of Buddha in Sri Lanka.
In 1963, he came to Perth western Australia on HMS Lion, a cruiser, and decided that this was where he wanted to live. Seven years later, he arrived in Perth where he gained adult entry to university and studied part-time to become a librarian. In his own time, he studied all the religions of the world; not because he was religious, but because he was curious. As a result, he moved from librarianship to theology, which he continued to study for seven years.
This book was started when he was seventy-eight years old and will be published when he is eighty years old. It will be his only book, because his many health problems have robbed him of his energy. He is the last of the ?wise old men' and will tell you many astonishing things, which you would never have discovered for yourself.
