After working as an academic psychologist in several countries, John Biggs returned to his Tasmanian roots to commence a second career as a writer of fiction.
The Girl in the Golden House (Pandanus Press, 2003) is drawn from his experiences during a critical time in Hong Kong's history ('a colourful, action-packed romance that explores the attractions and tensions between East and West.' The Age). He has also published several award winning short stories. He is currently working on his next novel.
