The Disobedient Detective By Mark Middleton I see this book as a great television movie with ugly characters with an array of faces stubbled, evil, drug-ravaged, lustyS Throw in the good-looking do-gooders and some pretty girls and this action-packed story is a real winner. Policeman Lee Carver doesn¹t let the bosses get in the way when he knows he on a good thing. Right now he¹s on what could be the biggest case of his career. The New Pilgrims are on their way to Australia and Carver has his chance to show up this group of politically-correct activists for what they really are international drug smugglers, thugs and murderers. But this time Carver is told that they plan a really big publicity stunt to cover up the assassination of Australia¹s own Prime Minister. The author Mark Middleton really gets down into the grit and grime of the underworld with great effect and has created a larger-than-life character in Lee Carver. This policemen has the possibility of more adventures to come with more tales of the disobedient detective to come from the pen of Mark Middleton. - Wendy O¹Hanlon - - The Noosa Weekender.
