Years ago my daughter Helen gave me a yoga banner which reads:
Become loyal to your innermost truth.
Follow the way when all others abandon it.
Walk the path of your own heart. Om.
The moving finger writes,
and having writ moves on.
And all thy piety nor wit,
shall lure it back, nor rub out
a word of it.
This memoir has been written by yet another migrant, another quiet achiever.
